Our paste jars are applied with your finger, much like a lotion or cream. Simply scoop a small amount out of the jar and massage it into you underarm area. The product softens as you massage it into your skin. The paste jars have a screw on cap and can be stored anywhere. Although the product will soften if stored in a warm area, it will not affect the effectiveness of the product. 

Our sticks are soft-solid deodorants, which means we don't add fillers to make them stay solid. We strongly advise not to place your deodorant stick directly in sunlight or in environments warmer than room temperature – such as a hot car, near a hot window, or other areas that tend to be exposed to heat.

This is a personal preference and depends on how you like to apply your product, as well as where you'd like to store your product. In general, if your bathroom is hot, paste jars are probably the ideal way to go.  If your home is consistently at general room temperature, a stick might be your best bet.  One thing to remember is that you can switch between the two applications: we often hear from customers who switch seasonally –sticks in the fall and winter when temperatures tend to be cooler, and paste jars during the warmer spring and summer months.

We don't cut costs by filling our products with lesser ingredients. The ingredients in our products are 100% natural, and therefore, 100% influenced by environmental surroundings. Natural products are supposed to change with temperature changes.

If your stick is too soft for your liking, consider storing it in a cooler location. Pop it in the refrigerator to firm it back up, for instance.  We also have several customers who regularly store their sticks in refrigerators.

Irritations can happen for any number of reasons – it could be an ingredient in our deodorant or another environmental factor that is impacting your body (diet, other topical products, laundry soap, etc). Regardless we have a few helpful suggestions if irritation occurs:

1. Never apply the deodorant to freshly shaved underarm skin.

2. Avoid the overuse of an ingredient called sodium laurel sulphate. This is the main ingredient in shampoos, soaps, and detergents. It's what makes soap sudsy. This ingredient, however, can throw off the Ph balance of your skin, affect sebum levels, and negatively impact the healthy bacteria that lives on your skin. 

3. Avoid GMOs and pesticides – again this can throw off healthy bacteria (healthy bacteria = happy skin).

4. Ingest healthy bacteria and yeast. Eating a variety of fermented foods and beverages is not only tasty but leads to great gut health. Or take a probiotic supplement. 

5. Some people may be sensitive to baking soda – one of the ingredients found in our deodorants. We sell a wonderful baking soda-free deodorant worth trying if troubleshooting has failed. It's $12 for a 2 oz paste or stick. 

Although rare, this does happen from time to time. Usually the problem is simply applying too thin of a deodorant layer to the entire armpit area. If you miss an area, odor can get through. However, if you applied the product correctly and you still smell odor during the day, we offer a 30-day full money back guarantee.

Try storing it in a slightly warmer location. One trick we like to use is to place it in a small basin of warm/hot water for a minute or two to soften it.

No, you should not feel wetness or stickiness after deodorant application. If you do, this is an indication that you have applied too much.

No, not if applied correctly. All you need is to completely rub a thin layer into your underarm area. If you see the product pilling in your armpit, you've used too much. Also, it's important to give your deodorant time to absorb into your underarm area. Don't immediately slide your shirt along your freshly- applied armpit area.

Sweating is a normal and natural function of the human body. It serves two functions: cooling down the body and detoxification. You will not sweat more using our deodorant. You will either sweat less than normal or the usual amount.

Aluminum compounds within deodorants act as a plug for sweat ducts and temporarily stop the flow of sweat. Still, these compounds can be absorbed by your skin. There are many reasons to avoid the absorption of heavy metals into your body – here are two main reasons.

1) Beneath the surface of your armpit skin are lymph nodes. The lymph system is responsible for removing toxins from your blood. Toxins come out through our sweat. So the worst thing you can do is block your body’s sweating function and keep harmful substances trapped within your body.
